Philippines: China Shoal Deal Needs No Permission for Resupply
The Philippines' interim arrangement with China concerning the Second Thomas Shoal in the South China Sea does not require Manila to seek permission for resupply missions and does not recognize foreign jurisdiction or prejudice national positions, the Philippine foreign ministry stated. The understanding does not allow boarding or inspection of Philippine vessels nor concede sovereignty.
