Takeo Province Prepares for 2026 High School Exit Exams with Over 9,500 Candidates
Takeo Province has completed preparations for the 2026 High School Exit Examination (Bak Doep) scheduled for August 10, 2026. A total of 9,563 candidates, including 5,417 females, will sit for the exams across 17 centers and 391 rooms.
Takeo Province has completed preparations for the 2026 High School Exit Examination (Bak Doep), scheduled to take place on August 10, 2026. A total of 9,563 candidates, including 5,417 females, will participate in the examination, which will be held across 17 centers and 391 rooms throughout the province. According to Mr. Lao Virith, Director of the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Takeo Province, among the 17 examination centers, four are designated for science streams and thirteen for social science streams. The total number of examination rooms is 391, comprising 80 rooms for science streams and 311 rooms for social science streams. Reports indicate that the total number of candidates this year has decreased by 253 compared to the previous year, but the number of female candidates has increased by 130. Specifically, there are 1,959 candidates for science streams (1,215 females) and 7,604 for social science streams (4,202 females). General knowledge candidates number 8,899 (5,034 females), with 556 repeaters (364 females). Supplementary course candidates are 87 (19 females), and one repeater for the supplementary course (female). The Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Takeo Province, in collaboration with authorities and relevant institutions, has finalized all preparations for the examination centers and rooms across the province. This ensures that the 2026 Bak Doep examination process will be conducted with transparency, fairness, and in adherence to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. The High School Exit Examination is a significant national examination that serves as a bridge to higher education and measures the quality of education for students nationwide.
