EV crashes into a tree on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, one injured

An EV (Electric Vehicle) crashed into a tree on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway after losing control of its speed, resulting in one passenger being injured, according to the Expressway Maintenance and Supervision Committee. Around 6:30 PM on August 1st, a ZEEKR EV (light green color) carrying a total of 4 passengers, including 2 males and 2 females, lost control of its speed and veered to the right side of the road on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway between mileposts 22/7 and 23/0 (on the lane heading from Yangon to Naypyidaw). After colliding with a tree, the vehicle came to a stop on the right side of the road, causing a traffic accident. Due to this collision, one of the four passengers sustained injuries. Therefore, drivers are warned to check and maintain their vehicle's brakes, tire condition, and tire manufacturing date (whether it exceeds 3 years), as well as the functionality of their headlights, brake lights, and turn signals before driving. Drivers are also advised not to exceed the speed limits set for their vehicle type and to drive cautiously at reduced speeds during rainy weather.
