MANILA, Philippines — Sections of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) that have been damaged by continuous rain are now under repair, with crews working on both day and night shifts, the NLEX Corp. announced on Wednesday. But the company clarified that the current repair work is just the first of two stages, saying: “A permanent repair will not hold while it is still raining. So we are doing the interim repair now and the permanent repair when the weather clears.” Meanwhile, work this week included repairs on the NLEX in Valenzuela City and night work on the Spur Road in Central Luzon.
