MANILA, Philippines — Several national roads and bridges in Apayao, Benguet, and Kalinga remain passable but with restrictions due to damaged bridges, road slips, and other hazards, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). In its road and travel advisory on Monday, the DPWH said motorists should expect limited access, one-lane sections, and potentially slower travel times in the affected areas. The agency urged drivers to exercise caution and stay updated on the latest road conditions before traveling to these northern provinces. "Motorists are advised to take alternative routes or postpone their travel if necessary," the DPWH said in its advisory. No timeline was given for the full restoration of normal traffic flow in the affected areas.
