Ayeyarwaddy Times July 24 It has been learned from local news sources and the Arakan Army (AA) that the interim government's military (SAC) is continuously bombing wards and villages in Thantwe Township, Rakhine State, from the air, day and night. Local news sources reported that the military attacked Thantwe Township's Daw Taung ward with jet fighters today, July 24, in the afternoon, resulting in the immediate death of a 12-year-old child. "They came to bomb Thantwe again after 3 PM this evening. Yesterday, they were bombing until late at night," a news source told Ayeyarwaddy Times. The AA announced that the military bombed two civilian residential areas near Jittaw and Linthar beaches in Ngapali town, Thantwe Township, with jet fighters on July 23. Around 12 noon that day, bombs were dropped on Pwethay Yadanar Monastery in Jittaw Ward 5 and its surroundings, damaging the monastery and eight houses. The AA confirmed that six innocent civilians, including a monk and a 1.5-year-old child, were injured in the attack. Additionally, around 1:30 PM that afternoon, a jet fighter dropped two bombs on AZ Family Resort on Linthar Beach, damaging some bungalows and civilian homes, and injuring one civilian. The military has been carrying out aerial bombing attacks on Thantwe Township day and night on July 19, 23, and 24, with civilian casualties and destruction of homes continuing to rise.
