Basic Aquaculture Training : YGN Region CM delivered the opening speech

The opening ceremony of the Basic Aquaculture and Freshwater Fish Induced Breeding Techniques Training Course No. (1/2026), organized by the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, was held Saturday morning at the Lay Daunt Kan Fisheries Station in East Dagon Township, Yangon Region. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the ceremony and delivered the opening address. Next, Head of the Yangon Region Fisheries Department, U Than Chaung gave an explanation of the arrangements for conducting the training course, after which the trainees introduced themselves individually. Afterwards, Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and officials inspected the fish hatchery and the fish and shrimp exhibition booths. Officials explained the current operations, and the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions. The training course will be conducted by instructors for a total of 33 trainees from August 7 to 9, covering both theoretical and practical training in basic aquaculture and induced breeding techniques for freshwater fish.
