Mon forces attack junta outpost in southern Ye Township

The Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF) launched a guerrilla attack on an outpost of the Infantry Battalion No. 31 (Kha La Ya 31) based in Khoza town, southern Ye Township, Mon State, according to a statement. The MSRF’s Unit 1 launched a guerrilla attack on the outpost of Kha La Ya 31, where about 20 junta troops were stationed, around 8 AM on July 16. The exchange of fire lasted for about 15 minutes. Details of casualties on both sides are still being investigated, and it is reported that there were no casualties on the MSRF side. “This outpost is guarding the perimeter of the Khoza town base of Kha La Ya 31. Since the attack was a guerrilla strike from a distance, we could not confirm the exact situation. The casualties on the SAC side are still being investigated,” said Mi Tal Nyan, a spokesperson for the MSRF, to Mizzima. The MSRF, a unit under the command of the Mon State Federal Council (MSFC) Defense Department, frequently carries out attacks in cooperation with allied forces against junta troops stationed and operating in Ye Township and Thongwa Township.
