Kampot Province to Recruit 144 National Police Officers to Strengthen Security

The Ministry of Interior has announced the recruitment of 144 national police officers, including 46 women, to serve at the Kampot Provincial Police Headquarters as part of the 2026 recruitment plan. This initiative aims to strengthen the domestic security apparatus. The recruitment will fill 30 positions in intervention and command police units and 114 positions in administrative police posts at the commune and district levels. Notably, 46 female officers will be assigned to these administrative posts. Applicants must be Cambodian citizens residing in the recruitment area, possess a clear background, exhibit good conduct, and have no prior criminal record. Physical examinations will include checks for vision, hearing, heart, liver, lung function, tuberculosis, HIV, blood type, and drug tests. The absence of scars or tattoos is also a requirement. Male applicants must be at least 1.70 meters tall, and female applicants at least 1.65 meters tall, with a proportionate weight. Educational qualifications require a Secondary School Diploma or higher, with an age limit of 18 to 25 years (or up to 30 years for those with a bachelor's degree) as of the examination date. Application forms will be distributed from September 21 to 26, 2026, with formal applications accepted from September 28 to October 2, 2026. Both distribution and acceptance of applications will take place at the Kampot Provincial Police Headquarters. Candidates are required to register online via the designated website (https://gdhr.interior.gov.kh/appform/request?recruit=0730576d) or by scanning a QR code. They must then print the application request receipt to present to the subcommittee responsible for distributing and receiving applications. This recruitment drive is seen as part of the Cambodian government's ongoing efforts to enhance its internal security capabilities and ensure the safety of its citizens. The increase in police personnel, particularly in rural areas, is expected to contribute to community stability.
