Da Nang's Huong Tra Ward Hosts Job Fair Creating Over 18,000 Positions
A large-scale job fair in Huong Tra Ward, Da Nang City, Vietnam, has offered over 18,000 job positions. The event aims to boost the local economy and reduce unemployment.
In Vietnam's central city of Da Nang, Huong Tra Ward organized a large-scale job fair in 2026, offering over 18,000 job positions. This initiative aims to effectively implement the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction and strengthen the connection between labor supply and demand. The fair saw the participation of 15 enterprises from various sectors, presenting hundreds of job openings. Additionally, through the Da Nang City Employment Service Center, 48 companies entrusted the recruitment of 18,238 positions in Huong Tra Ward. These companies provided not only recruitment information but also advice on vocational training, career orientation, and loan policies for job creation, helping job seekers choose career paths aligned with their abilities and circumstances. Bui Ngoc Huy, Vice Chairman of the Huong Tra Ward People's Committee, noted that a gap still exists between companies' recruitment needs and job seekers' employment desires. Many businesses face labor shortages, while numerous individuals lack adequate access to labor market information or appropriate career guidance. "Based on this reality, Huong Tra Ward organized this job fair with the goal of creating a direct connection forum between businesses and job seekers," said Vice Chairman Huy. "This allows job seekers to receive advice on careers, employment, vocational training, unemployment insurance, and policies for overseas contract labor. Simultaneously, it enables businesses to recruit the right people for their needs, contributing to the modern, transparent, and effective development of the labor market." This effort contributes to Vietnam's goals of economic growth and social security. Under its one-party system, Vietnam prioritizes economic development, with job creation being a crucial pillar. Particularly, generating employment opportunities in rural areas is essential for poverty reduction and narrowing regional disparities. Furthermore, maintaining domestic economic stability and growth is vital for balancing geopolitical dynamics, especially in relation to China.
