Ho Chi Minh City Announces 8 Dredged Sludge Disposal Sites, Accelerating Key Projects

Ho Chi Minh City has announced 8 locations for receiving dredged sludge and waste, a move expected to remove obstacles in sludge disposal for key projects and create favorable conditions for accelerating their implementation. Previously, securing disposal sites for the large volumes of dredged sludge had been a significant challenge for infrastructure development and urban development projects in the city, particularly those along waterways and canals. The relocation of residential areas along canals and projects for purifying and renovating waterways were particularly affected by delays in sludge removal and disposal, impacting overall progress. The announcement of these 8 receiving sites is a crucial step towards resolving the sludge disposal bottleneck faced by these projects and enabling them to proceed as planned.
