Music Concert held to welcome returnees in Falam

A music concert to welcome returnees to Falam of Chin State was held at the town’s Indoor Stadium on 19 September. The concert featured performances of various songs by renowned vocalist Htoo El Lin and local artists, as well as traditional and modern dances. Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thant Zaw Lwin attended the event alongside the returnees and residents from nearby villages. The concert was jointly organized by members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Resettlement Committee, the State Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, members of the Falam Rehabilitation and Resettlement Working Committee, town elders and local residents. The successful organization of the concert reflects the prevailing peace and security in the state while providing psychological support and encouragement to the returnees. It is learnt that more than 79 per cent of Falam’s population has already returned to their homes. Meanwhile, rehabilitation measures are ongoing in Tedim, Tonzang and Falam in Chin State.
