Cambodia's Ministry of Defense Enhances Readiness for Natural Disaster Rescue Operations
Cambodia's Ministry of Defense is strengthening its rapid response capabilities, particularly through the 99th Transport Division, to promptly rescue citizens during natural disasters like floods. The readiness includes soldier training, equipment checks, and 24/7 deployment preparedness, emphasizing the priority of citizen safety.
The Ministry of Defense of Cambodia is enhancing its readiness to intervene and rescue citizens from natural disasters. Under the strict command of Major General Meng Pol, Director General of Logistics and Finance of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Hul Sam On, Commander of the 99th Transport Brigade, has organized and inspected intervention forces and all types of rescue equipment to be in a 100% state of readiness. This preparation involves meticulously organizing intervention forces, including officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers who possess strong morale, high discipline, and precise rescue training. Transportation means and rescue equipment, such as heavy military transport vehicles, rescue boats, pumps, life jackets, and other necessary logistical supplies, have undergone thorough technical inspections to ensure rapid and timely deployment of forces. Colonel Hul Sam On emphasized and ordered all intervention forces to maintain a high sense of responsibility and loyalty, and to be prepared to operate nationwide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The safety and lives of the citizens are considered the utmost priority, in line with the slogan 'The army is born from the people, serves the people, and is beside the people in all difficulties.'
