Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many attended the graduation ceremony of BELTEI International University on July 16, where degrees were conferred upon 1,809 graduates. The ceremony was attended by approximately 3,500 individuals, including Dr. Ly Chheng, founder and director of BELTEI Group and chairman of the university's board, along with government officials, national and international distinguished guests, professors, students, and parents. According to the report from Mr. Ly Navuth, the Rector of BELTEI International University, the graduating class consists of 1,809 students, including 1 doctoral degree, 53 master's degrees, 1,410 bachelor's degrees, and 345 associate degrees. BELTEI International University currently operates three campuses in Phnom Penh: Location 1 – Tuol Sleng, Location 2 – Chom Chao Overpass (where the ceremony was held), and Location 3 – Tuol Pongro, currently under construction in Chom Chao 1 village, Por Sen Chey district. The university offers five major levels of study: 1) English-Chinese and Computer Preparatory classes, 2) Associate Degree, 3) Bachelor's Degree, 4) Master's Degree, and 5) Doctoral Degree. They offer programs in the national language (National Program), taught in Khmer with English, and International Programs taught 100% in English. The university has 13 faculties with 45 majors: 1) Business Administration, 2) Finance and Banking, 3) Economics, 4) Law, 5) Education, Arts and Humanities, 6) Tourism and Hospitality, 7) Information Technology and Science, 8) Digital Technology and Telecommunications, 9) Engineering, 10) Architecture, 11) International Relations, 12) Civil Aviation, and 13) Chinese Language. Recently, the university signed an agreement with Monash University, a renowned and highly recognized university from Australia, to launch a Foundation Year program on October 26, 2026. Students will study for one year at MONASH – BELTEI IU Cambodia and can then continue their studies for three years at Monash University in Australia. During this esteemed occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many congratulated all the graduating students who have successfully completed their studies and received their degrees. Alongside his congratulations, the Deputy Prime Minister praised their hard work, expressing his hope that today's graduates will achieve continued success in their life journeys, bringing honor to themselves, joy to their families, and urging them to connect their life paths with the well-being of the nation. He further stated, "Knowledge alone is not sufficient for future employment. To become quality human resources, one needs competence, discipline, ethics, and good conduct." Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many also emphasized the importance of human capital and technological development as key priorities in the government's "Pentagonal Strategy Phase I," which aims to transform Cambodia into a high-income country by 2050.
