SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — Police arrested 10 people allegedly caught gambling illegally in Barangay Tablac here on Sunday, Sept. 6. The Candon City Police Station conducted the operation after receiving information about illegal gambling activities in the area. READ: 3 nabbed for illegal gambling in Ilocos Sur Police said six of the suspects were caught playing the card game “tong-its” at two separate tables, while four others were apprehended while playing mahjong. The 10 suspects were taken into police custody and are facing charges related to illegal gambling. The Candon police said it would continue operations against illegal gambling and urged residents to report information on illicit activities to the nearest police station.
