Former Health Minister Sentenced to 6 Years for Misappropriating Public Assets
Former Vietnamese Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien has been sentenced to six years in prison for violating regulations on the management and use of state assets. She was found complicit in the loss of over 803 billion VND (approximately $31.5 million USD) in two major hospital projects and ordered to pay 108 billion VND in restitution.
