Hanoi City Youth Union Elects 67 New Committee Members
The Hanoi City Youth Union has elected 67 new committee members, bringing the total to 96. This move aims to strengthen the city's youth organization and enhance the role of young people in the new era.
On July 3rd, in Hanoi, the Hanoi City Youth Union held a conference of delegates, attended by 300 young delegates representing 126 grassroots Youth Union organizations at the commune and ward level, along with 11 affiliated clubs, teams, and groups. With the action motto "Capital Youth: Pioneer - Solidarity - Creativity - Integration - Development," the conference aimed to comprehensively assess the results of the Youth Union's work and youth movements in the capital from 2024-2026. It also sought to define the objectives, directions, tasks, and key solutions for the 2026-2029 period, aligning with the requirements of the two-tier local government model and the capital's development in the new era. In his opening speech, the Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Youth Đoàn (Youth League) and Chairman of the Hanoi City Youth Union highlighted that this event is not only a grand festival for the capital's youth but also a significant milestone, marking the beginning of a new development phase for the organization. This comes as the country enters a new era of development, the capital implements a two-tier local government model, and young people face new opportunities and demands to contribute and mature. During the conference, delegates unanimously approved the direction, tasks, and key solutions for the next phase. These include continuing to build a strong Youth Union organization, expanding the united front to gather and mobilize youth, and promoting the pioneering role of youth in digital transformation and innovation. Crucially, the conference saw the co-option of 67 new members, bringing the total number of members of the Hanoi City Vietnam Youth Union Committee to 96. Within the framework of the conference, an exhibition showcased typical OCOP (One Commune One Product) products from various communes and wards across the capital. Additionally, an exhibition space titled "11 Colors of Youth" presented the distinctive marks, exemplary models, and outstanding achievements of the affiliated associations, clubs, teams, and groups under the Hanoi City Youth Union. On the afternoon of July 2nd, preceding the main conference, four youth forums were held, focusing on four key issues: Building the image of the capital's youth in the new era; Promoting the role of youth in resolving the city's bottlenecks; Promoting the role of youth in entrepreneurship and innovation; and Promoting the role of clubs, teams, and groups in attracting and mobilizing members and youth in the city.
