Malai District Joint Forces Seize Over 1000 Boxes of Illegally Smuggled Cosmetics

Joint forces in Malai District, Banteay Meanchey Province, Cambodia, have intercepted and seized over 1,000 boxes of cosmetics illegally smuggled from Thailand. The operation took place around 9:50 PM on September 8, 2026, at the border stream in Kandal Village, Ou Sra'al Commune, Malai District. According to the official Facebook page of the 815th Border Guard Infantry Battalion, authorities discovered seven large cases, equivalent to 84 small cases, totaling 1,008 boxes of 'Elracle' brand cosmetics. These goods were being illicitly transported across the border from Thailand into Cambodia by smugglers. The seized cosmetics have been handed over to the Malai District Police Inspectorate for further legal proceedings.
