Vietnam Strengthens Textbook Supply Ahead of 2026 School Year

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Vietnam has instructed all local authorities to urgently review, adjust, and ensure the sufficient supply of textbooks for students, in coordination with the Vietnam Education Publishing House. The directive prioritizes schools that are currently experiencing shortages and mandates that the supply be completed before September 15, 2026. This measure aims to continuously ensure the adequate provision of textbooks for the 2026-2027 academic year. Past instances have highlighted concerns about unequal learning opportunities arising from textbook scarcity. The MOET plans to strengthen the supply system by increasing production and supplementing textbooks and workbooks according to actual demand.
