NUG provides 150,000 Chinese Yuan for Rakhine State flood relief

(July 19) Mizzima. The National Unity Government (NUG) has provided 150,000 Chinese Yuan to the Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government (APRG) to help address the urgent needs of the people affected by the flood situation occurring within Rakhine State, it has been learned. The NUG stated that the financial support was provided with the aim of being utilized for relief and humanitarian assistance activities for the people who are suffering from the impacts of floods and natural disasters within Rakhine State. The Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government sent a letter of appreciation regarding this assistance and expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Arakan for the NUG's support. Currently, due to heavy rainfall and floods in Rakhine State, local residents are suffering from damage, and emergency relief and humanitarian assistance are needed. The NUG has announced that it will continue to stand with the people of Arakan and will continue to provide support for humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation activities for the flood-affected people.
