Myanmar delegation returns after concluding official visit to Thailand

The Myanmar delegation led by Head of State Min Aung Hlaing, who was on an official visit to Thailand at the invitation of Prime Minister of Thailand Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, returned to the Tatmadaw Airport in Nay Pyi Taw on the afternoon of August 7. The Myanmar delegation led by the Head of State was welcomed by Vice Presidents U Nyo Saw and Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Speaker of the People's Assembly U Khin Ri, Speaker of the National Assembly U Aung Lin Dway, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Myanmar. The Myanmar delegation led by the Head of State had visited Thailand on an official trip on August 6. During the visit, the Head of State met and discussed with the Prime Minister of Thailand, and a Myanmar-Thailand bilateral meeting was also held. In addition, he met and discussed with the interim Speaker of the National Assembly of Thailand and attended the Myanmar-Thailand Economic Forum. It is reported that during the visit, matters related to further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Thailand, and cooperation in economic, cultural, and various sectors between the governments and peoples of the two countries were frankly exchanged and discussed.
