Myanmar is focusing on implementing green development

Vice President Du Nan Ni Ni Aye said that Myanmar is particularly focusing on implementing green development and green economy policies, frameworks, and strategies for the country's socio-economic development. The Vice President added this while delivering a speech at the 5th Himalayan Region Countries International Cooperation Forum held in Nyingchi (Linzhi) City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China, on the morning of July 17. Myanmar is cooperating in important scientific research activities for social, economic, and environmental development with member countries in the Himalayan region, aiming to protect the environment and improve the living standards of the people, it was stated. Vice President Du Nan Ni Ni Aye also said that she would like to urge for increased investment in the conservation, restoration, and sustainable utilization of biodiversity throughout the Himalayan region.
