DJ Katty Butterfly Forced to Perform in Bandung Despite Illness, Hospitalized
DJ Katty Butterfly was reportedly forced to perform at a club in Bandung despite feeling unwell, leading to her hospitalization. Despite initial attempts by her management to push through with the professional commitment, her condition worsened, prompting a refusal of further pressure from the organizers, who had suggested alternative arrangements including a 'fake' collapse.
Jakarta, Indonesia - DJ Katty Butterfly, a popular DJ originally from Thailand, was forced to cancel her scheduled performance at a club in Bandung, West Java, in April 2026 due to a sudden deterioration in her health. According to her manager, Ika, Katty was feeling unwell even before departing for Bandung and had sought treatment at an emergency unit in Jakarta. Despite her condition, the team attempted to fulfill their professional commitment and traveled to Bandung. However, upon arrival, her health worsened as the evening progressed and her performance time neared, with little rest afforded at the hotel. Ika initially encouraged Katty to perform, considering the audience, but ultimately decided to prioritize her health, deeming it a matter of life and death. The management informed the club's contact person, Vmen, about Katty's situation and requested assistance in transporting her to the nearest hospital. The club reportedly proposed alternative solutions to appease the audience, such as having Katty's road manager perform while she stood beside the DJ booth, or even suggested she 'pretend to faint.' However, the management rejected all these proposals, unwilling to risk further compromising Katty's health. Ultimately, Katty was taken to an emergency hospital. Source: Liputan6
