Vietnam Establishes Oversight Committee for Education Reform

The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee has decided to establish a special oversight team to monitor the implementation of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing education and training. This move is part of a national effort to modernize and improve the quality of Vietnam's education system. The oversight team will comprehensively assess textbook content, curriculum implementation, school management systems, teacher quality, and school facility development, particularly in primary and secondary education. Special attention will be given to investment in boarding schools that combine primary and secondary levels in border areas. Under Vietnam's one-party system, education is considered a crucial pillar for national development, and Politburo resolutions often lead to concrete policy execution. The establishment of this oversight team signifies a strong commitment to ensuring the progress of reforms in the education sector and to promptly identify and address challenges.
