The focal depth was approximately 10 km, and the disaster risk level was assessed as 0. Experts at the Institute of Earth Sciences classify earthquakes of magnitude 4-5 in Vietnam as 'mild.' Such tremors can cause objects indoors to shake and make noise. While many people may feel the shaking, it is generally perceived as a light vibration outdoors, typically resulting in minor or no damage. Globally, an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 earthquakes occur annually.
