To commemorate the 950th anniversary of the founding of the Temple of Literature and Imperial Academy (Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám), Vietnam's first national university, a 3D mapping film titled "Nurturing Talents" (Vun đắp hiền tài) has been produced, tracing its birth and development. The film uses symbolic imagery such as the sound of drums, woodblock prints, and birds flying towards the sun to visually represent the historical significance of the institution. The Temple of Literature and Imperial Academy has a long history as a center of Vietnamese academia and culture, nurturing many talented individuals. In recent years, this historical site has become a venue for various activities aimed at promoting Vietnam's rich cultural heritage both domestically and internationally. These include introductions to calligraphy and traditional music, preservation and utilization efforts in cooperation with Beijing, China, promotion of Vietnamese culture and heritage at UNESCO headquarters, as well as events like visits by candidates for Miss Di Sản Áo dài Việt Nam Global 2026, children's events, and the "Vườn ánh sáng" (Garden of Light) festival. This 3D mapping film is an endeavor to re-familiarize people with the value of the Temple of Literature and Imperial Academy, with its rich historical background, using modern technology.
