Palace: No Record of Threats Against VP Sara Duterte

Malacañang on Monday said government security agencies have no record of threats against Vice President Sara Duterte. Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) had no reports, complaints, or records indicating a threat to Duterte’s life. “Wala pong record, wala pong pagsusumbong, wala pong reklamo,” Castro said in a press briefing. (There was no record, no report, no complaint.) She said government agencies tasked with providing security continue to protect all Filipinos, including Duterte. Castro challenged the Vice President to provide evidence to support her claim that she is not safe. “Patungkol sa sinasabing atake ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa kaniya personal, 2024 pa. Hindi po ito nabanggit ninuman o nabanggit man lang niya noong panahon na sinasabing siya ay inaatake noong 2024 pa. Wala rin po siya nabanggit patungkol sa sinasabing threats way back 2023,” she said. (Regarding the alleged attack by President Marcos Jr. on her personally, back in 2024. No one mentioned this or she did not mention this at the time when she was allegedly being attacked back in 2024.
