Palace: No Proposal Yet for Pax Silica Data Center Outside Clark

The Palace stated that there is still no actual proposal to build a data center outside New Clark City under the proposed Philippine-US Pax Silica framework. Palace Press Officer Clarissa A. Castro, quoting the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), said any investment project under the initiative — data center or otherwise — would have to undergo strict compliance with government regulations, “most critically on environmental impact,” and reiterated that no data centers would be built under the Clark Advance Manufacturing component. “If they are referring to some other location outside New Clark City, there is still no proposal for that, according to the DTI,” Ms. Castro told reporters in Filipino.
