Con Dao Special Zone Holds Solemn Flag Raising Ceremony with Memorial Events
A solemn flag-raising ceremony was held on the deck of the Fisheries Surveillance Ship 290 in Con Dao Special Zone, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee and Coast Guard Region 3. On September 19, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, alongside forces from Coast Guard Region 3, solemnly conducted a flag-raising ceremony on the deck of the Fisheries Surveillance Ship 290 during their working trip to Con Dao Special Zone. Following the ceremony, the delegation from the Central and Ho Chi Minh City levels paid their respects and offered incense to the fallen heroes at Con Dao. Con Dao is deeply revered as a sacred place, a site where citizens turn to remember their roots and express gratitude for past sacrifices. Border guards of Ho Chi Minh City also organized numerous tribute activities within the Con Dao Special Zone, reinforcing the spirit of remembrance and national unity.
