Cambodia National Job Fair Receives High Praise for Youth Employment Support
Cambodia's 2026 National Job Fair has garnered significant praise from young people and job seekers. Beyond offering direct employment opportunities, the event also provided career counseling and CV preparation assistance, establishing itself as a vital platform for entering the labor market.
The National Job Fair and Labor Productivity Fair 2026 has received support and satisfaction from participating parents and job seekers, who consider it a beneficial platform for youth, students, and those seeking employment to understand job opportunities and interact directly with employers. Mr. Sok Vanna, a resident from Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, who brought his son to seek employment at the event, expressed his support, stating that the job fair is important for young people as it helps his son learn about many companies and find a job that suits his interests and skills. "I think this program is truly good and beneficial for our children because many companies are participating, and children can look for jobs and get information directly from employers. As a father, I am happy to have my son learn about direct employment opportunities and prepare well for future work," he stated. Ms. Sok Sreypov, a resident of Phnom Penh who brought her daughter to apply for a job at the fair, mentioned that the program provides convenience for young people, enabling them to receive information about various types of jobs and have opportunities for direct interviews with companies. "I am satisfied with the organization of this fair because it facilitates our children who are looking for jobs. They can come to view job information from different companies, apply, and interview directly here. I support such programs to continue to provide opportunities for more young people," she emphasized. Through the organization of this program, job seekers not only gain information about vacant positions but also receive career counseling, CV preparation, and practical interview experience, which helps boost their confidence and readiness to enter the labor market. The National Job Fair and Labor Productivity Fair 2026 also aims to create a platform connecting job seekers, employers, and educational and training institutions, as well as helping to reduce the skills gap and link education to market demands. Ms. Chan Thani, a student majoring in Banking at Beltei International University, stated that the annual job fair provides a joyful atmosphere and excellent opportunities for youth, students, and undergraduates to understand the world of work and the available job opportunities in various companies and institutions. "I feel very happy to participate in this job fair because it offers many opportunities for young people, especially 12th-grade students who have just finished their studies and students who are currently studying, to gain a clearer understanding of job opportunities, professions, and labor market demands. This program is also a great place to get information and guidance related to work, which can help young people prepare better for their future," she said. The support and positive feedback from parents and job seekers indicate that job fairs like this are an important mechanism for helping young people find employment opportunities, obtain practical labor market information, and prepare better for their future careers. The fair is organized on September 12-13, 2026, at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh, under the theme "Skills and Jobs: Labor Productivity for Sustainable Economic Growth." Approximately 150 relevant companies, enterprises, and institutions are participating, with an expected recruitment of around 35,000 workers.
