Prabowo Directs New Environment Minister: "No Corruption, Tackle Waste"

President-elect Prabowo Subianto has issued two crucial directives to his newly appointed Environment Minister, Jumhur Hidayat: a strict prohibition against corruption and the urgent resolution of Indonesia's pressing waste management issues. Regarding waste, Prabowo emphasized exploring diverse approaches like Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), tailored to regional contexts, in addition to high-cost Waste-to-Energy (WTE) solutions. Minister Hidayat also affirmed that there is no conflict of interest with his concurrent role as a labor union leader.
