Vietnamese Party Official Visits ParisTech to Boost Science-Tech and Talent Cooperation

Nguyen Duy Ngoc, head of the Central Organization Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam, visited and worked at ParisTech (IP Paris) on September 11, accompanying President To Lam during his official visit to the French Republic. This visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, including the promotion of economic and financial cooperation between Vietnam and France. Vietnam increasingly recognizes the critical importance of cultivating advanced science and technology and nurturing high-quality human resources for maintaining and accelerating its economic growth. Collaboration with international educational and research institutions is particularly viewed as a key strategy to enhance domestic innovation capabilities and bolster global competitiveness. ParisTech is a leading engineering university in France and is renowned as a global hub for research and development. This visit aims to deepen scientific and technological cooperation between the two nations through initiatives such as accepting Vietnamese students and researchers, promoting joint research projects, and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology in cutting-edge fields. Under Vietnam's one-party system, human resource development and the promotion of science and technology, guided by national strategies, are considered crucial drivers of economic development. In recent years, Vietnam has sought to balance its economic reliance on China by strengthening ties with Western countries. In this context, enhancing educational and research cooperation with advanced nations like France is expected to contribute to Vietnam's technological advancement and its standing in the international community.
