Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Meets Vietnamese Community in South Korea

On the afternoon of September 6 (local time) in Seoul, as part of his official visit to South Korea, Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, met with officials from the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in South Korea. The meeting focused on active exchanges of opinions regarding the further deepening of economic cooperation and the promotion of cultural exchange between the two countries. The strengthening of ties with overseas Vietnamese is considered a part of the Vietnamese Communist Party's "Overseas Vietnamese Policy," which is expected to contribute to domestic development and enhance Vietnam's image in the international community. Vietnam has continued its economic growth in recent years, increasing its influence in the international arena. South Korea, in particular, has deep economic and cultural ties with Vietnam, and this visit may represent a significant step towards further developing bilateral relations. Chairman Man is also scheduled to hold meetings with high-ranking South Korean government officials during his stay, with discussions expected to cover concrete progress in economic cooperation and regional security. Under Vietnam's one-party system, the Party and the State advocate for the protection of the rights of overseas Vietnamese and encourage their contributions to the homeland. This meeting is seen as an effort to concretely advance these policies and strengthen the network of overseas Vietnamese. Furthermore, Vietnam's economic growth, driven primarily by its manufacturing sector, continues to attract significant investment from South Korea.
