Illegal trade through illegal channels with illegally obtained funds will not be accepted, stated the Head of State, President U Min Aung Hlaing. He stated that when conducting trade activities, it is necessary for them to be legal trade and to be systematically inspected, supervised, and managed, and that conducting illegal trade is a loss to the nation. He also pointed out that in past eras, smuggling and illicit export of goods occurred, resulting in the nation not receiving appropriate taxes and citizens having to consume goods that do not meet quality standards, and that corruption by employees was also observed. The Head of State stated that illegal trade through illegal channels with illegally obtained funds cannot be accepted. Furthermore, he stated that market manipulation by unscrupulous individuals must be combated through legal trade. He said that it is necessary to increase exports for the development of the national economy, and to achieve this, production must be encouraged and supported to increase in each relevant ministry, region, and state. He also added that from a security perspective, efforts must be made to keep border trade gates open as usual, and administrative officials must inspect and supervise to ensure that operations are systematic. He stated that there is a large market demand for basic food items such as meat, fish, and kitchen garden vegetables in neighboring countries.
