A tropical depression has formed in the South China Sea, bringing strong winds and high waves to Vietnam's central coastal regions. Authorities are on alert, with 21 provinces and cities preparing for potential impacts.
Early this morning (September 12), a low-pressure area in the southwestern waters of the Paracel Islands has intensified into a tropical depression. Due to the influence of this tropical depression, the western waters of the Paracel Islands and the coastal waters from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai provinces are experiencing strong winds of level 6, with gusts up to level 8, and sea waves reaching 2-4 meters, causing rough seas.
