National Bank of Cambodia Revokes License of Thansoo International Technology, Appoints Liquidator

The National Bank of Cambodia has announced the revocation of the license of Thansoo International Technology Co., Ltd., a payment service provider, effective August 3, 2026. The company had obtained its business license on May 27, 2024. This action was taken in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Concurrently, the National Bank of Cambodia has appointed Morison Kak MKEA Audit-Accounting Co., Ltd. as the liquidator for the company, as stipulated by Article 68 of the Law on Banking and Financial Institutions. The liquidator will proceed with the repayment of funds to the customers of Thansoo International Technology Co., Ltd., following the priority order established by the same law. This license revocation is seen as part of a broader trend of strengthening regulations for financial service providers in Cambodia. In recent years, alongside the growth of the fintech sector, the country has been enhancing its supervisory framework to protect consumers and ensure financial system stability.
