Thai Police Seize 2.5 Million Meth Pills After Gang Abandons Mother and Baby

In northern Thailand's Chiang Mai, a tense highway chase concluded with a major drug bust after a criminal gang abandoned a young mother and her baby to evade police. The gang also left behind gold bars and jewelry valued at around 1.5 million baht, along with nearly 300,000 baht in cash. Regional police commanders held a press conference on Thursday to showcase the seized drugs, gold, and cash, praising the undercover team's bravery and swift actions. Authorities are expanding their investigation to track down the four male suspects, with the captured mother providing clues. Officials stated this successful sting is part of a broader campaign against drug trafficking, reaffirming the Thai government's commitment to removing illegal drugs from the streets.
