Thailand Investigates 11,000 Nominee Firms in Potential 80 Billion Baht Land Scandal

Thailand's Ministry of Interior has revealed that over 11,000 companies are under suspicion in its ongoing investigation into "nominee firms" allegedly holding land on behalf of foreign investors. The potential damages from this issue could amount to approximately 80 billion baht (around 330 billion Japanese Yen). Deputy Interior Minister Polpree Suwannachawi stated that during a joint meeting between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice, officials presented reports on the scale and impact of the suspected land scandal.
