Bac Ninh Province to Recruit 661 Additional Teachers in 2026

Bac Ninh Province in northern Vietnam has announced plans to recruit an additional 661 teachers for kindergarten, primary, secondary, high school, and vocational education institutions in 2026. This move aims to address teacher shortages and ensure the quality of education. According to the Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training, as of July 20, 2026, the province has a total of 48,704 authorized positions for teachers and staff in kindergarten, primary, secondary, and vocational education. However, the current number of employees is 47,687, resulting in a deficit of 1,017 positions. Specifically, there is a shortage of 661 teachers: 104 for kindergarten, 271 for primary school, 236 for middle school, 36 for high school, and 14 for vocational and continuing education centers. Based on this assessment, the Department of Education and Training reported to the Provincial People's Committee and sought approval for the 2026 teacher recruitment plan. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has agreed to the plan to recruit 661 teachers for kindergarten and general education levels in 2026. This initiative is intended to supplement the existing teaching staff, meet teaching demands, and ensure educational quality for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Department of Education and Training will develop a detailed recruitment plan for 2026, which will be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval and subsequent implementation according to regulations.
