Former Australian Police Officer Praises Cambodia's Efforts Against Scams

Christine, a former police officer from Australia, has expressed her support for the Cambodian government's efforts to crack down on and eliminate scam operations within the country. She stated that many people misunderstand Cambodia, wrongly believing it to be a country rife with scams. Christine asserted that Cambodian people do not welcome or desire criminals in their country. She emphasized, "They are proud people, they love their homeland, and they do not want these criminals to live on their land." Christine further clarified that Cambodia has been unfairly labeled as 'Scambodia.' She pointed out that the Cambodian government is deploying significant resources to eliminate and expel these criminals from the country. "As a former police officer, I always pay attention to police work around the world. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) are actively engaged in Cambodia and are cooperating closely with Cambodian police, as are law enforcement agencies from other countries," she confirmed. Additionally, Christine affirmed, "I always have coffee with police officers who work in the special task force against scams. We discuss their work, and they are actively achieving their mission in cracking down on and eliminating scam operations in Cambodia." She also noted that Cambodia's special task force is working very hard to dismantle these criminal networks and is achieving real success.
