Former Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Appointed Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee

The Central Organization Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam announced the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, 51, as Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Tan has five years of experience as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. Mr. Tan holds a Master's degree in Commercial Law and a Bachelor's degree in International Law. He previously held key positions within the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including Director of the Legal Department and Director of the Competition and Consumer Protection Department. This transfer is part of the Communist Party of Vietnam's centralized personnel management, aiming to leverage expertise in the administration of Ho Chi Minh City, a city driving economic growth. Currently, Mr. Tran Luu Quang serves as the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. With Mr. Tan's appointment, the position of Deputy Secretary will be held by multiple individuals. Other Deputy Secretaries include Mr. Le Quoc Phong (Standing), Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc (Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee), Mr. Vo Van Minh (Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council), Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc (Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, and Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet.
