Phnom Penh Solar Panel Shop Gutted by Fire, Cause Under Investigation
A large fire broke out at a residential property selling solar panels and related parts in Phnom Penh on September 11th around noon. Firefighting efforts prevented the spread, but interior furnishings were almost entirely destroyed. No injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating the cause.
A residential property functioning as a shop for solar panels and related components in Phnom Penh has been significantly damaged by a fire, with most of its interior furnishings destroyed. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The incident occurred around noon on September 11th in Borey Sambour Meas, Sangkat Dangkor, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh. According to residents living near the affected house, it was used for selling and stocking solar panels and their accessories. The owner was reportedly away from home when the fire broke out. Witnesses from the vicinity observed thick smoke emanating from the house and immediately took action. They attempted to cut the lock on the door and break windows to begin extinguishing the fire while simultaneously reporting the incident to the authorities for assistance. The specialized forces of the Fire and Rescue Department under the Phnom Penh Municipal Police were dispatched to the scene with multiple fire trucks. Their intervention successfully contained and extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties.
