2 Killed in Maguindanao Business Ambush

Two businessmen were killed and another was wounded in an ambush in Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur on Thursday afternoon. Fahad Sula and Alfaris Dalinding were declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital following the attack in Barangay Pembalkan, according to Capt. Steffi Salanguit, spokesperson for the Bangsamoro police. The victims’ companion, Asmawi Bantas, was brought to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. The victims were in a tricycle loaded with electronics and other merchandise when the gunmen assaulted them. This incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the Mindanao region, particularly concerning the safety of business operations.
