Furthermore, Deputy Governor Chhay Virak explained that for solid waste management, approximately 4,000 tons of waste are transported daily to the landfill in Dangkao district, with a planned shift to the facility in Tuol Prich, Kandal province, starting in 2027. Regarding the clearing of canals and waterways, he added that before the rainy season, authorities in the central 5 districts and the administration of the other 9 districts are instructed to clean canals and waterways within their jurisdictions to prevent flooding of citizens' homes and infrastructure during the rainy season.
