Cambodian Motorcycle Racer Aims for Personal Best in Malaysia's Superbike Championship

Cambodian motorcycle racer Chim Piseth, representing the Mekong Motorcycle Club, is preparing to compete in the 1000cc class of the Superbike Champion in Malaysia. The event, scheduled from July 31 to August 2, presents Piseth with an opportunity to strive for excellent results on the international stage. During a press conference held this past weekend, Piseth highlighted that this competition differs from his previous races. His participation in the 1000cc category follows an evaluation of his technical performance in the 600cc class last year. This promotion to a higher-level event marks a new experience for the rider, who acknowledges the need for intensified effort and meticulous technique against strong competitors from Malaysia and across the continent. Piset described his involvement as a "great opportunity" and his first time competing in the premier 1000cc class, recognizing it as a significant challenge. Despite the more powerful and demanding nature of the bikes, the complex riding techniques required, and the challenging race circuits, he is committed to pushing his abilities to their fullest to achieve his goals. The participation is supported by sponsorships from Raksmey Bike Shop, Magic Workshop Cambodia, and Top One, as well as backing from the Cambodian Automobile Federation. Khai Vannak, Secretary-General of the Cambodian Automobile Federation, expressed full support for Piseth's endeavor, expressing hope for his strong performance in this high-caliber competition. Vannak noted that while the federation is aware of the technical skills of Cambodian racers, international participation is crucial for gaining experience and narrowing the technical gap with foreign competitors.
