KIA Rejects Interim Government Military's Peace Talk Invitation, Fighting Continues Fiercely on the Ground

It has been learned that the interim government military sent letters inviting several revolutionary organizations, including the Kachin Independence Organization/Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA), for peace talks, but the KIA side rejected them. The National Unity and Peacebuilding Committee (NSPNC) of the interim government military sent letters to revolutionary organizations such as the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA), the Chin National Front (CNF), and the All Burma Students' Democratic Front (ABSDF) to negotiate peace. Regarding the invitation letter, a KIA information officer initially responded that they had not yet received the news, but later confirmed that they had unequivocally rejected the invitation for a meeting and discussion, stating they would not attend at all. The day the interim government military sent the peace proposal, September 4th, was a time when military operations using land, sea, and air forces were continuing in Rakhine State, and fighting between the military and these revolutionary organizations was still ongoing on the ground. In the current ground situation, the interim government military's fleet that was advancing up the Irrawaddy River suffered heavy damage, and the fleet that was descending from Bhamo was also effectively attacked and destroyed by the KIA and allied forces. Furthermore, interim government military ground columns approaching the Sinkhan Bridge near the border of Sagaing and Kachin were forced to retreat without being able to recover bodies or weapons. On the other hand, while the Yunnan Provincial Government of China has prohibited the KIA from selling weapons and ammunition to other organizations and has begun to impose blockades on raw materials for weapons and ammunition, the interim government military has sent such an invitation for peace talks.
