UK Government Urges Immediate Release of Detained Journalists in Myanmar on World Press Freedom Day

On World Press Freedom Day, the UK government called for the immediate release of all journalists detained in Myanmar. With the country's press freedom ranking falling to 166th out of 180, over 220 journalists have been arrested since the 2021 coup, highlighting the severe risks facing media workers in the country.
