Cambodia Hosts Food Expo to Boost 'Strong Khmer Cuisine' Campaign

Cambodia on July 18, 2026, hosted the 'Cambodia Food Expo 2026,' a significant event aimed at boosting the nation's food industry under the "Khmer Cuisine Must Be Strong" campaign. The expo was presided over by H.E. Thong Hak, Minister of Tourism. Spearheaded by Dr. Om Sengbora, Chairman of the CIO Institute, the event intends to enhance the prestige of Khmer cuisine, strengthen product quality and standards, and elevate the capacity and competitiveness of Cambodian entrepreneurs in both domestic and international markets. The expo serves as a crucial platform for showcasing food and beverage products, processed agricultural goods, and innovative creations by Cambodian entrepreneurs. It offers opportunities for producers, suppliers, investors, and business partners to convene, exchange experiences, and forge new cooperation networks. Furthermore, the exhibition is expected to significantly contribute to promoting Khmer culinary heritage and food tourism, linking Cambodian flavors with culture, traditions, local identity, and various tourist destinations across the country.
