The region's coffee has already earned a strong demand in domestic and international markets. As a region which has a long-standing education tradition, Pyin Oo Lwin is recognized as an education hub. The President urged the collective efforts of all stakeholders to preserve the region and uphold its tradition of warm hospitality, while promoting sustainable growth in tourism. The attendees presented reports on region development measures, requisite assistance for the damaged infrastructure and sports facilities, as well as the needs for the growth of agricultural enterprises within the region. He also emphasized on cleanliness, regional stability and security measures. After the meeting, the President made a tour around the gardens, oversaw the greening measures, condition of the Siberian cedar sapling, presented by the Novosibirsk Regional Government as a symbol of its commitment to strengthen bilateral friendship and cherry plantations planted to mark the centenary of the National Kandawgyi Gardens. The President and party also visited Pyin Oo Lwin District Sports Ground, inspected the designated site to construct swimming pool and provided necessary instructions.
