Over 10,000 Receive Free Medical Services in Kampong Speu Under Hun Many's Initiative

A free medical examination and treatment program, led by the volunteer medical team with honorary chairman Hun Many, was held at Banteay Khmer High School in Samaki Monichey District, Kampong Speu Province. Yim Sokhom, Chairman of the Kampong Speu Provincial Council, and Governor Cham Chornsovan accompanied the event. The initiative saw the participation of provincial and district leaders, healthcare professionals, and over 10,000 local residents. The volunteer medical team, initiated in 2012, has provided medical services to over one million people in Kampong Speu alone, with an expenditure of approximately $3 million. This marked the 327th free medical outreach, offering a wide range of services including general internal medicine, mental health, pediatrics, gynecology, proctology, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, dermatology, parasitic infections, anemia, arthritis, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, malaria, dengue fever, ophthalmology, dentistry, diabetes, cardiology, hypertension, ENT conditions, nephrology, and more. Services also included ultrasounds, Helicobacter pylori breath tests, electrocardiograms, laboratory blood analysis, minor surgeries, wound treatment, and the distribution of eyeglasses. Hun Many praised the volunteer medical team for their dedication, stating that their humanitarian mission contributes to the improvement of public health, economic growth, and poverty reduction, aligning with the government's Sustainable Development Goals.
